And helping you balance training and life and achieving your goals on your schedule is what we do best!

Hi, we’re Coach Amanda and Coach Tony!

A small yet mighty husband and wife team fueled by 25+ years of combined coaching experience, lessons learned from 9 years as a professional triathlete (Coach Amanda), and a genuine love for what we do.

In a world that’s obsessed with instant results, one-size-fits-all training plans, and jumping on the latest trends, we meet you where you are and invest in the long game so you can meet your specific goals with an approach tailored to fit your schedule, avoid burnout, and find long-term joy through sport.

Whether you’re a lifelong athlete looking for a new challenge, jumping back into multisport after some time away, or just getting started on your single-sport athletic journey, we’re here to help you take the guesswork out of your training and guide you through every stage of the training process so you can consistently show up throughout your journey to race day.

KIND WORDS FROM HAPPY ATHLETES

Coach Amanda is an amazing coach! I worked with her to train for half marathons and marathons and eventually qualify for my dream race…the Boston Marathon. She is kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, and I’m so glad I had her to help me reach my running goals while balancing my busy schedule as an elementary school teacher. Because of her support and detail-oriented plan that focused as much on training as other important factors like mental toughness and recovery, I reached my time goal and qualified for the Boston Marathon while also staying injury-free throughout the process. Forever grateful to Coach Amanda!”

Two runners embrance in front of the sign for the 2019 Boston Marathon.

“When I started working with Coach Amanda three months before my 60th birthday, my goal was simple: complete one sprint triathlon. Eight years later, the picture looks considerably different — 18 triathlons completed, five podium finishes including a first-place win, a qualification for USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals, a sub-8-minute mile pace in a 5K, and more than five competitive 20K cycling time trials. That’s not the arc I envisioned. I am stronger and fitter than I knew possible, and it’s a direct reflection of the quality of her coaching.

A big part of what makes this partnership work is the structure and consistency of how Amanda operates. We work remotely through TrainingPeaks, where she designs each workout in detail and I log my results and reflections after every session. She reads those notes carefully and develops my programming accordingly. Her ability to continuously write new workout variations across all three disciplines — swimming, cycling, and running — never ceases to amaze me. More importantly, it keeps the training fresh and keeps my head in the game. We stay connected by text and email, and before races she and I get on the phone for dedicated strategy sessions. In eight years we’ve met in person only two or three times. That has never been a limitation.

The remote model has also given me real flexibility, which matters in my life. I’m not retired — I maintain a demanding professional work and travel schedule that regularly takes me across North America and, at times, into Europe. Amanda has always been considerate of the many roles and responsibilities that come with an active professional and family life, and her ability to build a consistent, rigorous training program around all of that has been one of the most valuable parts of our work together. The program adapts to my life, and the benefits are consistent.”
